Mar 7, 2010 - I've never used Camtasia Studio, but I hear it takes up a lot more background resources than FRAPS does. I like FRAPS because it's small, simple, and does what it does without eating too much CPU or memory. I'm the type of person that doesn't like ANYTHING running in the background, yet I'm comfortable letting FRAPS run all the time on my computer... always there when I need to capture video or screenshots.

Mar 7, 2010 - Cool, thanks for the info. I will give it a try when I get a few spare minutes. The busy season is hitting me at work, so all I have is the weekends for a few months. :( Thanks again man. Have a good one.

Apr 4, 2010 - I have the full version and when I click F9 it's doesn't work.

Apr 4, 2010 - @popocool44 It's also possible that you have some software that has already bound itself to the F9 key. In this case you can go into FRAPS under the movie tab and change the hotkey to anything you like. Try CTRL-F9 or even some wild combination like ctrl-shift-R - pretty much any key combination you can think of you can setup in FRAPS.

Apr 6, 2010 - @NoxTekDotCom when I'm in a game, it works but not if I'm in anything else. Thanks for the help! :)

Mar 7, 2010 - Thanks, I have a need for this software. I have looked at Camtasia. It looks like Fraps is similar. Have you used Camtasia? It Fraps better? Thanks again Jason.
