Mar 19, 2009 - Awesome song! I love THE KINKS! I saw them in the 80's at Stabler Arena in Allentown, PA. It was an awesome concert. This song I don't remember, but I love it! It's the classic Kinks!!!

Like "Father Christmas", the listener is set up hearing something that at first seems cute and sweetly ideal, but then slides downhill from that initial zenith, LOL. Another sorely unappreciated work of art by the the sorely unappreciated Kinks.

Jul 14, 2009 - SID is definitely one of those Kinks albums that never got the recognition it deserved. It's better Soap Opera musically anyway.

Jul 2, 2010 - I saw the kinks perform this rock opera at Jorgensen hall UCONN 77....seen them over 50 times...THE most underated album of all time....Ray is the poet laureate of rock and roll...GOD SAVE THE KINKS!!!!

Jan 15, 2009 - The Kinks had a number of vastly underrated albums. "Schoolboys in Disgrace" is one. ("No More Looking Back" is my favorite track too. The vocals are insane — so heartfelt!!) "Sleepwalker" and "Soap Opera" fall into the underrated category also. The Kinks, quite simply, rock.
